WRIGLEY FIELD
April 20, 1916 - Present
Wrigley Field History
Wrigley Field actually opened in 1914 under the name Weeghman Park and was the home of the Chicago Whales in the old Federal League. Hack Wilson, Gabby Hartnett, Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins, Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandburg and Sammy Sosa are just a few of the great Cubbies who have found a home in the friendly confines.
Wrigley Field is our fifth scoreboard release. With so much history, it was too hard to decide one game or even one season to highlight, 1969? 1984? 1989? 1998?
